For the first time ever I'm going to post some of my artwork on my blog....I've always done art but pretty much just keep it to myself. Last night I was having a bit of a night and plugged in my ipod and started drawing....these 2 drawings were the result!
The color is a bit off since I took a picture of them without using the flash so they seem a bit yellow. 6 months ago I was diagnosed with an Anxiety Disorder and sometimes when I'm feeling super stressed or anxious this is what it feels like in my head.

I've never used my art as an outlet to help with my anxiety before, so I was surprised last night when this came out. I was focused on the art and it helped me work through a rough patch.
Thanks for looking,
Jessica
Oh yes, Jessica... art is a wonderful way to work through those frustrations, anxieties, stresses that plague us. I've done several pieces that helped me through some weird spots... they hang in my home as a reminder that one can survive and make some beautiful (or perhaps not so much) out of hard situation. Glad you shared this here, and I hope you keep up the art as survival tactics!
ReplyDeleteThank you Rebecca! You are so sweet. It really did help to "get it out on paper" so tis speak!! I really like how they came out. I felt I needed to post them because I'm not the only one who has bad days... :)
ReplyDeleteYour support of my art is so much appreciated!
